I would like to inform the families of the South Central Cyclones association of a decision that was made this evening. As many of you know, conversations and community meetings have taken place over the last few months regarding the current status of our association. When the three main communities (Reedsburg, Baraboo, and Wisconsin Dells) originally made the decision to band together to become one association, it was decided that after three years, this decision would be reviewed and a determination would be made as it relates to remaining as one association or disbanding and re-establishing individual associations within our respective communities.
Tonight, it was announced that Baraboo does not wish to continue on in the current association. This decision was made based on continued input from individuals and families who participated during, and voted in, previous meetings. While we understand that this may upset some of our families, I am hopeful that our communities will be able to work with one another to make this transition as smooth as possible.
As always, our mission is to provide the best opportunities for our children and we will work hard to continue to foster an environment that allows our children to play the sport that they love, be competitive, and grow their knowledge and skills of the game.
Finally, we will ask that during this time of transition that our board members be afforded grace and patience as we work to figure out the next steps. Of course, we will remain in communication with our families and keep everyone informed on changes to come.
